Rules and Regulations

As an officially sanctioned BC Youth Soccer Association event through BC Soccer and Central Okanagan Youth Soccer Association (COYSA), the Tournament will be played under FIFA rules - with the following additions and/or exceptions to the rules:

1. All players, coaches, and spectators will adhere to Fair Play Conduct policies.

2. Failure to comply with the Tournament Rules as outlined in this document could result in immediate expulsion from the tournament, without refund or appeal.

3. Registration and full payment of $ 600.00 must be received by March 15th 2025 for age groups 13-18.  There are no refunds after the registration deadline.

4. Registration and full payment of $550 must be received by March 15th 2025 for age groups 11 and 12. There are no refunds after the registration deadline.

5. Tournament format is set as a Round Robin event with each team playing a minimum of 3 games. There will be no overtime play. There will be no penalty kicks.

6. All team coaches MUST check into the Beasley Clubhouse Tournament Registration on Friday Between 7:30am and 11:00am, April 18th to pick up their participation packages and provide a copy of their team list and travel documentation if from out of province.  The address of the Clubhouse is 3450 Woodsdale Road in Lake Country.  

7. All teams (Divisions U13, U14-U16) are required to provide a team roster and player ID cards to the Field Marshall/Referee.  The team list must include the full name, date of birth, and designated jersey number for each player. Team list must match the player ID cards. Please upload your full team roster online - prior for verification

8. Team Managers can email all rosters to (okib@lcysa.ca) or upload them in the Demosphere System or come and complete the game sheet prior to the game, this is for internal management purposes.

9. For insurance purposes, all out of province teams will be required to supply a copy of travel papers issued by their governing provincial or state association.

10. Teams must be at their field 20 minutes prior to game time. Punctuality is imperative, as the fields are solidly booked. 

11. Home team on the schedule must wear pinnies in case their team colors are insufficiently distinct.

12. The player being substituted must not enter the field of play until the player leaving the game is off the field.

13. No team official, or representative, is to enter the field of play unless requested by the Referee.

14. Tournament Organizers will provide game balls.  Referees will supply the game balls during game play.  Provided balls are to be used for all games, and returned.

15. All games will be 30-minute halves, with a 5-minute break at half time.

16. There is no extra time for injury.

     Every effort is made to put teams into Divisions of equal caliber. For the most part, teams compete against teams in the same age group, and same caliber. The tournament executive has the right to place teams in appropriate groupings to facilitate the tournament. 

For example: 3 U13 teams registered >> will combine with U14 Division

17. Players must be registered with their respective club, regional, provincial or state associations for 2025. This is a Sanctioned Event, organizers will be checking to ensure your club is sanctioned. 

18. If a team needs to pick up players to complete their roster, the players can only play on one team during the tournament. Players must be equal, or less than, the caliber of the team they are being picked up by.  

19. In addition, a player cannot play for a lower age group than they are registered to play in that year (for example, a U-13 player cannot play on a U-12 team). As according to BC Soccer Policies. 20. Games will be played on grass. In the event of inclement weather, the fields may be closed. Refunds will not be issued because of field closures.

21. By entering this tournament, every participant agrees to accept the jurisdiction of the Tournament Committee or its members, LCYSA, its Board of Directors and employees, COYSA, and BC Soccer, in all matters of dispute.

22. No abuse of officials will be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal or physical abuse. This applies to players, team officials, team supporters/parents, field marshals, or any volunteers/organizers of the tournament.

23. Coaches will be responsible for ensuring compliance with this directive, by their players, team representatives, and team supporters. Violation of this directive may result in immediate expulsion from the tournament. 

24. Players accumulating two (2) cautions (yellow card), in a single game will automatically be suspended from that game, and from their team's next game. Players who accumulate three (3) cautions during the tournament, will automatically be suspended from their team's next game. Any player sent from a game (red card), will automatically be suspended from their team's next game. Depending on the severity of the infraction, further penalties may be applied, including expulsion of that player from the Tournament.

25. Organizers will provide Okanagan Ice Breaker ( 1 MVP Shirt for you to give to YOUR MVP player, Printed Copy of the Rules and Tote bag) 

26. Organizers will provide Tournament Champion CUP/Medals to every 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place player in each U14-U16 divisions, and will be presented immediately following the final game for each qualifying team.

27. Tournament Schedule will be available on the website at: www.lcysa.ca or within your Demosphere Tournament Portal, and will be updated throughout the Tournament so teams can check the website for game schedules and standings. 

28. There will be no standings posted for divisions U11-U12.
